Overview of the Driving Test Centre in Tuam
The Tuam test centre is found in a small industrial estate outside the town on the Ballygaddy road. There is reserved parking space for driving test candidates and there is a public toilet. The pass rate is quite good at around 62% on average. A good place to meet for a lesson is at the Westwing restaurant car park on the way in to Tuam from Galway direction.

Tuam Driving Test Routes
The town has very narrow roads a lot of which are one way. Perhaps the most challenging aspects of the driving test in Tuam are the 3 mini roundabouts, particularly the one in the middle of the town. It is quite busy and can be difficult to observe where other cars are going as most other drivers don’t indicate properly. There is a limited number of test routes but this will change soon when the new bypass opens which will include more roundabouts.
